Welcome

Welcome to the Sustainable Design and Manufacturing Program at Georgia Tech. We focus on research and technical solutions that will help create a more prosperous society and improved quality of life for our students, colleagues, partners and community. Since 1992, we have combined high level independent scientific research with collaborative projects involving leading companies and their suppliers in order to support companies in implementing and “operationalizing” sustainability in terms of materials, products, processes and services. Our goal is to have sustainability solutions that provide triple bottom line benefits from environmental, financial and social perspectives. For this, we draw upon an interdisciplinary team of world-class faculty and students from various engineering disciplines, biology, management, policy, city and regional planning. I invite you to explore our website and contact us for more information.
